Canada Day Twelve

Ice skating? No. Soup kitchen? No. Worship service? No. Snow. Not lots, but enough to preclude a trip into town that was not absolutely necessary. The pastor was disappointed, not because we didn’t help out in the soup kitchen, but because he wanted to spend time with us! We will make up for that tomorrow after church and next week when we go to the university and meet up with people there. The pastor is coming with us. It’s nice to be wanted.

So what did we do? Pitchforked hay. Normally one person does it. Six people…done in no time.

Reading homework, and the beginning preparations for the student presentations of their chosen countries. They have until Wednesday to get prepared. Thursday will be our last full day here.

Minji finally got to watch Princess Bride all the way through…except for the fact that she fell asleep somewhere along the way. She had gone with Ashley to milk cows at 4am. Everyone wanted to make her watch it a second time.

Did I describe the pizza last night? Student-made by someone who knows how to make Chicago pizza. We think he should change professions.

I smell supper.

Church tomorrow: one of our team members will be part of the music team.
